Web Content Writer & Strategist

One of our valued clients is seeking a Web Content Strategist & Writer for a short term (3-4 month) onsite opportunity. The need is for external website re-design to help set the strategy and guidelines for creating and maintaining content. 

The candidate will work as part of the Communications team, working with the digital communications team as well as with  web services technical team in the IT dept. The candidate needs to be a strong writer and be proficient in the English language. A marketing communications background is ideal with a focus in content development.

This position requires a high level of creativity, as well as the ability to use data-driven insights to write better material. The successful candidate should also be detail-oriented and committed to meeting tight deadlines. Preference will be given to those with a strong writing portfolio, bachelor’s degree and 5+ years relevant work experience. The ability to consistently meet tight deadlines in a very fast paced environment. As well needs to be able to work collaboratively within large and small teams.


- Work with Content and Marketing Team to set the overall content strategy 
- Define and categorize content so that it is searchable in the internal search engine. 
- Set guidelines for writing content for critical items in a user friendly, modern way and to brand
- Create and populate content for the new site, specifically focusing on updating content 
- Once strategy is finalized, will roll out the strategy and develop necessary content with team members 

Must have: 
- Understanding of enterprise level communication 

Content strategy plans for the creation, publication, and governance of useful, usable content. Necessarily, the content strategist must work to define not only which content will be published, but WHY we’re publishing it in the first place. 

Content strategists are responsible for the tone and style of the message, content prioritization, process, tools and resources of content production, and consistency, integrity and quality of the content.
