Leading content development from concept through production and delivery, the Content Strategist is responsible for assessing content opportunities and recommending content strategies that meet client goals and deliver excellent user experience. The Content Strategist reports to the Creative Director and works closely with Art Directors to analyze briefs, develop and execute concepts and refine creative direction across multiple projects and accounts. Responsible for the quality of content deliverables, Content Strategists manage copywriters and review/edit their deliverables as well as create original copy themselves.
• Provide content leadership on interactive projects: from initial concepts to wireframes, briefs, content decks, editorial calendars, style guides, and ongoing content curation
• Research and understand clients' offerings and brand standards
• Manage the content and copy approval process across all verticals
• Create a curatorial calendar for refreshing content across all platforms
• Communicate clearly with marketing team on project objectives and deliverables
• Collaborate with internal teams to define and develop creative vision and strategy
• Analyze content opportunities and recommend strategies, interactions or approaches
• Provide level-of-effort and time estimates for project deliverables to assist account service team
• Lead the creation of information architecture deliverables
• Create copy and/or mentor and manage copywriters in creating content deliverables
• Review and edit copy deliverables across multiple projects
• Work with designers in the creation of visual comps and other deliverables and review creative with an eye toward content communication
• Assist in the management of client expectations throughout project lifecycle to ensure consistency and quality in creative deliverables
• Oversee multiple projects and ensure content tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Assist in client presentations to create buy-in for recommended strategies and solutions
• Receive client feedback, evaluate and recommend refinements and help resolve issues
• 10+ years experience writing marketing copy required; aptitude for visual and interactive thinking desired
• 6+ years experience in creating online experiences, websites, apps, microsites and advertising
• Deep understanding of current and future digital trends across all platforms
• Aptitude for understanding technical subject matters; ability to quickly grasp core ideas of varied and complex topics required
• Ability to create copy that translates client offerings or objectives into compelling consumer benefits required
• Ability to handle competing and/or tight deadlines, great organizational skills and attention to detail required
• Excellent communication skills essential
