Web Content Specialist (Offsite OK)

University client is looking for a Contract-to-Hire Web Content Specialist to start on their team immediately and help with a late August large site launch. Offsite candidates are 100% OK for this role.

The position is more production than design, and will include proofing marketing-focused content for the site redesign. Ideal candidates will have an eye for design, as well as an understanding of User Experience principals and should be able to edit HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Experience with Content Migration and/or large and complex websites is a huge plus in this role.

Additional Responsibilities & Requirements Include:
• Editing, proofreading and posting site content.
• Work closely with technical and marketing members of organization to produce website content, including design changes, static and dynamic content updates and graphic enhancements.
• Maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all web pages.
• Experience in web content management, writing and editing for the web.
• Knowledge of HTML and experience with content management systems.
• Ability to edit basic CSS and JavaScript preferred.
• Basic Adobe Photoshop skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines required.
• Solid understanding of web design, accessibility, usability, search engine
optimization and information architecture.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• 3-5 years of experience managing content and production for high traffic websites.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, Computer Science or a related field.
