Enter, review, and manage laboratory product content and related technical information in a database that serves as the primary source for an online product catalog and eCommerce system. Work closely with groups such as product management, marketing management, and web content managers to obtain the necessary product information, ensure its accuracy/quality, optimize it for the web, and launch it on the web site at the appropriate time.
You may also be responsible for authoring, editing, review or developing content for web pages featuring life science, chemical, or environmental products, and aligning them to editorial, digital, and brand style guidelines.
-3-4+ years of professional lab research experience within any and/or all of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Life Science, Microbiology, and/or Environmental etc.
-Extensive product knowledge of scientific lab research based products
-Enthusiasm and ability to create, authorize, manage and/or edit content for science based products
-Superior, professional oral and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to edit content
-Demonstrated web and computer literacy in Microsoft Excel (create Pivot Tables), Outlook, Word, Power Point
-Ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and prioritize while working independently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
-Familiarity with eCommerce and web best practice ie. SEO, AdobeCQ, Comergent, Endeca
-Understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS) and/or product information management.
-Professional experience with web content migration and authoring, in addition to understanding of web taxonomy and catalog taxonomy
-Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
-Familiarity with editorial style guidelines
Minimum Bachelor's Degree (Masters and/or PhD preferred) in Biology, Chemistry, Life Science, Microbiology, and/or Environmental etc.
