Web Content Specialist

Enter, review, and manage life science, chemical, or environmental product and technical information in a database that serves as the primary source for an online product catalog and eCommerce system for a leading biotechnology company. Work closely with groups such as product management, marketing management, and web content managers to obtain the necessary product information, ensure its accuracy/quality, optimize it for the web, and launch it on the web site as part of a large web migration project. Use hands-on experience with laboratory techniques and familiarity with the scientific literature to guide product allocation and attribute selection. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the company's life science, chemistry, and environmental products, how they are used and how they relate to other products. This position may also help edit and review web pages that describe or feature a wide range of life sciences, chemistry, or environmental laboratory products across the web site, aligning them to editorial, digital, and brand style guidelines.


Knowledge of biology or chemistry, or experience working in a laboratory setting is greatly preferred.

Superior, professional oral and written communication skills.

Keen attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.

Outstanding problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

Computer literacy includes intermediate to advanced usage of Microsoft Excel, and intermediate usage of Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Familiarity with HTML and at least one programming language (preferably with practical experience)

Familiarity with product information management or content management systems preferred.

Effective team work skills are essential for success in this position.

A bachelors or master degree in Biology, Chemistry, or environmental testing required. At least 3 years hands-on laboratory experience preferred.
