Every year, thousands of students from around the world write code, build solutions, and design software, competing for a chance to travel to Seattle and participate in the premier student technology competition. At stake are hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash prizes, exclusive boot camp experiences designed to help turn ideas into real products, and mentoring sessions with some of the most visionary leaders in the tech industry.

This is a global technology adventure, where you’ll get to work with some of the most amazing student projects you’ve ever seen, helping bring new and cutting-edge technology to life. Do you have a passion for helping student developers reach their full potential? Do you want to work closely with a global team to promote student projects and student learning experiences? Would you like front-row seats to amazing new innovations being developed by kids around the world? If so, this is the team for you.

The Web Content PM is responsible for online presence through its registration and content portal. In this role, you’ll create and publish original content on the site, and work with other team members to publish their articles and blog posts as well. You’ll be responsible for the creation and management of all of the competitions through the site’s infrastructure and suite of in-house tools. You’ll be in close contact with subsidiaries and partners around the world, in more than 50 countries, creating content and competitions tailored to their regional needs and schedules. You’ll be working directly with students, as well, helping them to submit their projects to the various competitions, working through technical issues with them, and ensuring their great ideas make it to our judges for review.

This is a moderately technical position, and extensive familiarity with HTML and CSS is required. It’s also a position that requires excellent written communication skills, as you’ll be authoring content as well as acting as the primary point of contact for global subsidiaries. The team has aggressive, inflexible deadlines, so you’ll need to be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under tight deadline pressure.

Core responsibilities:
• Implementing and managing competitions through the team site
• Updating and managing the content and articles on the team site
• Authoring new content for the site
• Acting as the primary point of contact regarding the competition and for subsidiaries worldwide
• Organizing and managing teams of judges to evaluate student projects
• Working with the development team to design and test new site features and site infrastructure
• Working with the team to design new competitions
• Working with marketing to effectively promote competitions in social media and through student developer events
• Creating effective graphics to promote competitions and articles on the site

Qualifications:
• Strong communication skills are absolutely essential. You’ll be working directly with partners and subsidiaries, as well as a global audience of students. You may be called on to write articles for the site, briefing documents for VIPs, tutorials for student developers, and a variety of other documents and communications.
• You must be highly organized and detail-oriented. You’ll be working to inflexible deadlines, juggling dozens of mission-critical tasks simultaneously, and you’ll be solely responsible for organizing all these tasks and bringing them to completion. You’ll be publishing content to a production environment, and you’ll be the last line of defense against bugs, errors, and technical glitches in that content.
• Extensive HTML and CSS experience and familiarity are strongly desired. You’ll be authoring content within an in-house content management system, but formatting and design of that content will be largely your responsibility.
• Experience with Photoshop is strongly desired. You’ll be using our extensive photo library to create attractive, theme-appropriate graphics to accompany content and competitions.
• Experience with Excel and data analysis is strongly desired. You’ll be generating reports on competition metrics, registration metrics, and worldwide participating, using raw data generated by in-house reporting tools.
• Some technical experience is desired but not required. You’ll be the interface between the site engineering team, the marketing team, the field subsidiaries around the world, and the management team; the ability to move between these teams and understand their needs is essential.
• BA or equivalent 4-year degree.
