Web Content Manager-CMS

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and skills in web content management, graphic design and site management.

The optimal candidate must be personally interested in web content management; designing and building a great web user experience; and designing and building great web-based business solutions.

EXPERIENCE
· Required: 5+ years of web-based written content experience required, using content management tools
• Experience in the life sciences industry
· Preferred: experience working at an international company
· 1-2 years of experience in a leader/ team lead capacity

The lead content management specialist will work closely with business partners, marketing and PR, so strong communications skills are required. The ideal candidate will also have strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills. Tasks require a strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Candidate must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position as listed below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for administering the content management system, and for establishing and enforcing quality standards and conventions, style guides, workflow, and the editorial agenda for all online and electronic delivery. This position serves in both a tactical and strategic role

· Provide day to day web content management administration, training, process, and style guidelines to web content management team, business partners, vendors and stakeholders

· Work with divisional, regional employees, contractors, and vendors to execute content uploads and copy responsibilities

· Troubleshoot and coordinate resolution of content and CMS system issues

· Develop and document content management processes and procedures

· Monitors trends and activities to develop guidelines to increase presence and improve design and usability. Works closely with other departments, such as marketing and IT, to ensure that site content is accurate.

· Serve as administrator of the current Content Management System, making recommendations for improving the efficiency of the tool and expanding the use of its features

· Train staff on the use of the CMS and promote compliance with content standards of published style and brand guides.

· Contribute to the publishing process with hands-on support for creating, editing and posting content, creating or manipulating graphics, rendering images, writing scripts, creating templates, forms, etc.

· Participate and coordinate UAT for projects and web releases

· Follow department workflows to ensure all tasks are reviewed by the proper stakeholders before going live.

· Make rapid and informed recommendations for optimal placement and treatment of new content on the websites to insure achievement of business objectives and a continually high quality of user experience.

· Escalate larger project issues and risks as needed for resolution.

· Work (as needed) with IT and other teams to resolve any issues that may impair the ability to post content quickly and effectively, such as content tool issues, needed site enhancements, unclear requests, requests that conflict with quality guidelines, etc.

SKILLS

· Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making, strategic thinking and interpersonal skills.

· Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized with excellent visual and verbal communications skills.

· Exceptional communication skills, team building and collaboration skills.

· Extensive experience in maintaining multiple, large scale websites using a CMS.

· Expertise with HTML, CSS and cross-browser layout issues.

· Familiarity with JavaScript, RSS, Adobe Creative Suite

· Ability to work independently and follow through on multiple projects/tasks.

· Knowledge of best practices for publishing content on websites

· Familiar with scope documents, business and technical requirements, site maps and wireframes

· Ability to organize and prioritize workload for effective implementation

· Must be comfortable working with foreign languages

· Strong understanding of SEO, mobile format, CMS, usability and graphic design
