Web Content Manager

One of our valued Fortune 500 global leaders who specialize in insurance and underwriting is in need of a long term freelance Content Manager. Three years ago,
our client launched their first online small business insurance solution in the US. This enables professional small business owners to buy a range of tailored insurance policies online or over the phone in minutes backed up by first class service and great value.

Responsibilities
• Manage all content updates across various CMS systems
• Build out pages for SEO (under guidance from our Marketing Manager e.g. adding pages for key terms like ‘photographers insurance’, implementing site links etc)
• Updating customer reviews (longer term looking for an automated way to do this)
• Manage the mobile site. Set-up AB/MVT Testing working with Maxymiser
• Manage all Rx implications from monthly factory change process and organize all related testing
• Build out the video assets that we have on our site and update video sitemap weekly
• Work with agency to ensure all our tracking tags are properly implemented
• Work with Group Web Analyst to ensure all tracking is in place for full MI (i.e. Google Analytics)

Essential Knowledge and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-3 years experience in a website/content management role (either client or agency side)
• Experience in Rhythmyx, Backbase or similar content management system
• Experience with Wordpress and Squarespace
• Experience with Google Analytics and setting up custom variables, event tracking, eCommerce tracking, creating funnels and running custom reports
• Self-starter with a genuine ‘can-do’ attitude and a passion for delivering results
• Excellent project management skills able to co-ordinate multiple tasks and work in fast paced environment to deliver results on time and within budget
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships at all levels within the business
• Good cultural fit with Hiscox/team (e.g. can do attitude etc)
• Able to work with people across the business e.g. comms, compliance, senior management, IT
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Basic Photoshop skills

Preferred Knowledge and Skills
• Good knowledge of B2B marketing ideally within the small business segment
• Basic copywriting skills would be an advantage
• Knowledge of web usability best practices
• Knowledge of IT processes and syntax
• Background knowledge of SEO
• Experience of working with social media e.g. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn
• Experience in Personalization or A/B multivariate testing
• Knowledge of object oriented languages/4GL (i.e. Java, C++)
• Experience using MailChimp or other email marketing software
