Web Content Editor (1-year contract)

The position of Web Content Editor, reports to the Manager of eMarketing, and will be self-directed and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. S/he should have experience hand coding HTML for the creation of web pages through a content management system. S/he must have and strong web writing capabilities, copy editing experience and familiarity with AP style. S/he will write compelling copy for emails, landing pages and banner ads. This individual will need to utilize SEO best practices as they are producing content for a variety of audiences and clients. Attention to detail and working with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines are a must.

Key Responsibilities:

-Write compelling copy for web and email for promotions and marketing campaigns
-Builds website marketing landing pages using HTML and CSS
-Ability to prioritize multiple projects with varying deadlines, such as copywriting for email campaigns, and building and editing landing pages.
-Maintain extremely high writing and production standards, as well as the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Must have prior writing experience, web writing experience highly desirable
• Beginner to intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop and Dreamweaver
• Ability to perform under pressure and thrive in fast-paced, multi-campaign environments
• Able to work independently and proactively, identifying issues and raising them to management, as well as offering potential solutions
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
