Our client, one of the largest gaming companies in the world, is looking for an exceptionally talented Web/Graphic Artist with extensive interactive experience and a well-rounded design background to join their digital design group.

The ideal candidate is a highly independent self-starter with at least 2-3+ years of experience outside of school.

Key Responsibilities
• Follow high-level art direction to create designs for the digital design group and web properties that fall under its umbrella.
• Create cutting-edge designs that align with the brand of the site while enhancing the user experience.
• Work closely with lead artists, art directors, information architects, developers & others to produce a team-driven end product that leads to a top-notch user experience.
• Continually increase the creative benchmark, setting new standards to elevate creative executions & enhance the delivery of engaging features to the customer.

Required Technical Skills and Experience
• 2-3+ years experience in web interface & layout design (outside of school)
• Online portfolio that displays an understanding of user-centered design (User Experience/UX design)
• Formal design training with solid typography, graphic, and interaction design skills
• A Bachelor's degree & experience in a web-related environment
• Strong working experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash and image optimization for web
• Understanding of HTML, DHTML, and JavaScript (rollovers, pop-ups) and the capabilities of web browsers and user interaction are essential.
• Experience creating Web graphics, animations, user interfaces, icons, color schemes, templates, and layouts for use in online advertising and web site projects, ensuring site- wide color and typeface standards and consistency.
• Experience creating and working with site maps, media storyboards, user flows, wireframes, and other information design documents for web sites and online advertising

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is initially a 3 month, full-time, W-2 contract position located in Redwood Shores, CA
There is potential for this position to extend in 3 month intervals, and potentially convert to perm for the right candidate.
This position is not eligible for telecommute or offsite work
