Web Application Developer

The Web Application Developer understands the importance of site-structure and file naming conventions in helping to optimize our web applications with ease of maintenance, optimal performance, accessibility, search-engine compatibility and assurance of quality in mind. The Web Developer works closely with other engineers to determine technology requirements, procedural guidelines, and documentation.

Web Standards and Client-Side Technologies
HTML5, CSS3, XHTML, XML, XML Schema, XSL, W3C Web Accessibility Initiative Guidelines (WAIG)
JavaScript/DOM, JSON, AJAX, JavaScript Frameworks including JQuery, JQuery UI, JQuery Mobile

Java Web Application Frameworks and Server-Side Technologies
Grails, Groovy, GORM, GSP, Freemarker, Hibernate, JBoss RESTeasy, Spring Framework

Web Content Management
Experience with a Java Content Repository (JCR)-based CMS such as Magnolia CMS, Alfresco, Apache Lenya, Adobe WCM, Day Communiqué WCM, Hippo CMS. Magnolia CMS experience is preferred.

Databases
Experience with Relational Databases such as MySQL and Oracle

Development Tools and Continuous Integration
Adobe Photoshop, Eclipse IDE, Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, Apache Maven, Apache Ivy, Apache Ant, Sonatype Nexus, Git, Subversion, Hudson CI, Atlassian JIRA
