We are currently recruiting for a Web Analytics Manager to join a high-end creative advertising agency on a temp-to-perm basis. The agency provides a full-service solution to their clients, combining expert teams across art direction, stills and moving image, digital design, strategy, PR, casting and artist representation. Their digital team produce a range of integrated campaigns, mobile applications, online magazines and e-commerce websites for clients across the fashion, luxury and beauty sectors; including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Armani and Chanel.

Job description

To provide analytical expertise for our clients consumer website helping to improve the customer journey and maximise online sales. You will recommend appropriate tracking and work with the development team to implement and analyse web traffic, customer behaviour and site performance to make recommendations to key stakeholder groups.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Create a robust analytics strategy and measurement process for digital projects.
• Decipher patterns and identify the true meaning of analytics to create reports from analytics and present meaningful, easy-to-grasp data for internal teams and clients.
• You will work with Planning, Account Management team, Design and Development teams to provide insights and strategic support to clients.
• Help internal and external contacts understand the process and best practice for tracking user behaviour and ecommerce.
• Audit client's social media and SEO/SEM strategy and produce presentations recommending solutions or innovative new approaches.
• Contribute to large, complex marketing and social media campaigns and how they integrate with the digital content.
• Create and deliver face-to-face internal and client presentations of your strategies and findings.
• Create the “test and learn” strategy that will produce clear understanding of user behaviour and ROI for clients - whether Apps, email marketing, social media or websites.
• Create the structure and process for multivariate testing including audience strategy, conducting segment analysis and implementing “test and learn” programmes to inform the strategic and creative direction of each account.
• Assist the Senior Planner and Strategy Manager in any company wide Planning projects or industry reviews.

Person Specification


1. Bachelor’s degree.


2. Extensive marketing analysis experience.
3. Previous experience of working in a digital agency.


4. Expert knowledge of interrogating Google Analytics and setting Google Adwords campaigns.
5. Previous experience of working within the fashion, luxury, beauty or high-end products industry.
6. Using Social Media monitoring tools.


7. Detailed understanding of analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture and Webtrends.
8. Awareness of strategic decision making.
9. Solid understanding of digital and how it integrates with other media.
10. Excellent understanding of data-led and CRM marketing.
11. A solid grasp of digital marketing at a strategic level.


12. Outstanding organisational skills.
13. Excellent communication and influencing skills.
14. Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret and present results and findings.
15. Excellent client facing skills - a confident and articulate presenter.
16. Ability to use Omniture. Google Analytics and other tracking platforms.

17. You must be able to work on your own initiative as well as contributing to the broader Planning team.
18. Ability to multi-task and cope with several client projects.
19. Must be able to manage client expectations.

20. Pro-active attitude.
