Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical discipline is required. Knowledge of relational database and data manipulation with SQL and 1-2 years work experience with Tableau development and administrative duties is required. General knowledge of markets and competitive market position, sales strategies, programs, processes, tools and infrastructure is highly desirable; travel industry sales/marketing experience is a plus. Should be solution-oriented, multi-task capable and have demonstrated the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment. Demonstrates initiative, self-directs work, and ability to work from home well. Should possess strong analytical and computer skills, sound organizational and planning skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills. Highly proficient PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Tableau are required. Advanced knowledge of relational database and data manipulation with SQL is necessary. Strong data visualization skills a plus. Has to be willing and able to travel occasionally.
Job Summary: Sales Strategy and Corporate Analytics is responsible for the measurement and tracking of key corporate Global sales initiatives and activities. Tableau Analyst duties include managing and developing Tableau dashboards, multiple-sourced summary tables, and enriched local data sets to support Tableau reports designed to maximize revenue and market share performance for corporate accounts. The Tableau Analyst Sales Strategy and Corporate Analytics position will serve as the primary owner of Tableau responsibilities which includes managing 20+ dashboards and linked data sources while developing new dashboards and ensuring the usability of the tool. Performs requirements gathering and exhibits core competence with data preparation. • Comfortable working in multiple connection types including Teradata, SAS, Oracle, SQLServer • Responsible for maintaining and developing Tableau dashboards which includes creating and managing source data tables • Able to analyze raw data content and structure to arrive at the most feasible and timely summarized and indexed data structure • Monitors dataset efficiency and usability relating to Tableau • Serves as subject matter expert on internal and external data sources and provides Tableau expertise to the department • Performs requirements gathering and builds Tableau dashboards and SQL code to extract meaningful information from the data Prepares and presents internal training documentation for end user consumption. Participates in strategic and tactical planning to increase share gap performance, improve revenue and optimize costs as owner of critical data sets and models. Will engage peers within the Commercial organization (Pricing, Inventory Management, Network, Marketing, etc.) in support of sales related matters and mentor/train team members in effective data stewardship and techniques. Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
