Web Analytics Analyst - Omniture a MUST

This position requires a talented and experienced Analytics Expert who can
contribute to the success of our ambitious site analytics initiatives. This
analyst will be part of an award-winning airline and a team in charge of an
award-winning website. This person will provide many organizations within
our client with data, information and analysis to assist with data-driven
business decisions, and provide them and their stakeholders with insights that
drive traffic and improve conversion. They will conduct evaluations of
company website trends and provide operational reporting, forecasting, and
recommendations to guide the direction and success of the company site.
Experience in online analytics, deep technical skills, exceptional written and
verbal skills, and demonstrated organizational effectiveness skills are key
requirements in fulfilling the duties of this position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Work productively with business owners in several departments and with
external technology partners to develop and provide scheduled and ad-hoc
statistical and analytical reports about the company site and its online business
and marketing efforts and help business owners understand marketing
performance, site metrics, traffic patterns, differences among our customer
base, and opportunities for improvement.

* Generate and maintain regular reports, scorecards and dashboards gathering
various data points (including product performance, marketing effectiveness,
purchase paths, traffic flows and geographical market performance) from web
analytics software as well as other internal databases and reports. Create and
design new reports, dashboards, and measurement methods as needed.

* Develop, analyze, and interpret large data sets to research trends in
customer perception, preferences, and behaviors across the e-Commerce channel.
Identify and monitor customer behavior patterns and the performance of website
functionality and distill the information into conclusions with relevant,
actionable recommendations.

* Help with implementation and data integrity validation testing of web
analytics in new releases. Interact with Marketing and IT teams to determine
data requirements and usage.

* Work closely with outside technology partners as needed to improve the
usability and efficiency of reporting on traffic, shopping and purchasing
behaviors.

* Work with technical, marketing and business professionals to understand
reporting requirements, collaborate with managers, and other analysts to
identify and rank new feature requests for integration in subsequent versions
of the site analytics solution.

* Provide training sessions, both one-on-one and for groups, within the
organization and provide continuous support as the system continues to evolve
with changes with the company site and the vendor’s technology platforms.

* Streamline management reports and processes to produce documents that
identify actionable differences across our product lines and business units;
and evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing and merchandising promotions.
This individual will work to make sure our analytic tools meet internal
customers’ needs while satisfying scalability, reliability and other
performance requirements.

* Evangelize the system across the organization to accelerate integration into
managing our businesses. Assist managers and analysts throughout the company
to understand the power and value of these analytic tools and provide them with
insight about the implications of the data for various business initiatives and
their contribution to the strategic goals of the organization.

* Create, manage and maintain documentation and repositories for analytical
information, training documentation, implementation documents and critical
internal process documents.

* Train and mentor other Web Analysts and be a point of contact for any
escalation needs.

* Create and present data and recommendations to fellow co-workers, business
owners, managers and executives.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

* Strong analytic, quantitative, and data interpretation skills
* Expert-level proficiency with Adobe/Omniture tools (minimum one year of
experience)
* Experience building Tableau dashboards is a plus
* Functional proficiency in Excel a must-have
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must-have
* 2-3+ years of experience working in an online or e-Commerce environment
* Ability to work independently, be self-motivated with a high degree of
intellectual curiosity
* Ability to transform data into actionable insights
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Proven ability to develop strong collaborative working relationships across
various workgroups (business, operational, technical)
* Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment
* Basic knowledge of general Internet technologies such as HTML, JavaScript
and URL structures preferred
* Airline industry or travel/hospitality knowledge a plus
* Multivariate, A/B, and optimization testing methods is a plus
* Special consideration will be given to candidates with Statistical and/or
Database backgrounds

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in a business, math, technical field or related discipline
preferred.
