Web Analyst

The digital media arm of a major corporation in Orlando, is looking for a 6 month to possibly 18 month contract for a web analyst. Through our client's awarding-winning websites, we provide a digital portal to travel destinations in Florida, in California, and Hong Kong. Our client has also have designed and created websites for multiple other corporate travel related partners. Within the company, the Web Analytics team is focused on leveraging web analytics best practices to capture, analyze and optimize our website to drive Guest satisfaction and business outcomes.

The Web Analyst must be strategic, dynamic, detailed-oriented, and impactful. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker and possesses the confidence and knowledge to play a significant role driving the Online business in a highly matrixed organization. He/she must be a self-starter and a quick learner with a desire to learn new tools and techniques. Success in this role greatly depends on his/her ability to build rapport and develop effective working relationships with remote team members.

The position reports to the Manager, Web Analytics and does not have direct reports.

Responsibilities: The Web Analyst’s key responsibilities include, but are not
limited to, the following:
• Utilize data from online and offline sources to inform the strategic direction of online web properties.
• Define success metrics, develop measurement and reporting plans.
• You will be the leader responsible for developing and executing all measurement and analysis plans.
• Provide methodological guidance for enablement/implementation, including data collection and platform integration requirements.
• Create, analyze and publish weekly/monthly performance reports.
• Proactively identify gaps and opportunities in guest experience
• Ensure proper analytics implementation and reporting accuracy.
• Develop quantitative analyses and ad-hoc reports to monitor performance and trends.
• Oversee the design, synthesis, and delivery of analytics reports.
• Perform analyses and provide interpretation, guidance and strong recommendations to aid decision making and inform business planning.
• Stay current on digital marketing and ecommerce trends, research and evaluate market opportunities and guest behavior to increase revenue and guest satisfaction.

Required Qualifications: The Web Analyst’s required qualifications include:

• 3+ years of web analytics experience using tools such as Adobe Site Catalyst, IBM Coremetrics and or WebTrends
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced complex business environment
• Demonstrated attentiveness to detail
• Demonstrated strong partnering skills
• Demonstrated proactive problem-solving and decision making skills
• Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking ability
• Proven team player with the ability to guide and influence cross-functional teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications:
The Web Analyst’s preferred qualifications include:

• 5+ years of web analytics experience
• 1+ years of web optimization (A/B testing)
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field – e.g. Marketing, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.

Preferred Education: MBA or equivalent
