Web Analyst

The position requires high level consulting and strong marketing analytics experience skills in order to provide strategic direction and insight driven analysis. In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing disciplines (including general online media, marketing, advertising, direct marketing, customer care, social media, etc) is required.

The Web Analyst is responsible for designing and implementing measurement frameworks for online programs and gathers and interprets website and customer behavior data to identify and provide opportunities for our clients to improve on their ROI.

The Web Analyst will implement the following processes:

Client KPI Development and Monitoring
Website Analytics Measurement, Reporting
Website Tagging Strategy Recommendation, Development & Implementation
Quantitative and qualitative data sources (web analytics, competitive intelligence, voice of customer, etc) to understand visitor behavior and improvement opportunities
Actionable Recommendations
A/B and multivariate testing
Client site audits and review to ensure programs and tagging are set-up correctly
Develop reporting templates and dashboards
Track and conduct in-depth analysis of website reporting performance, trends, paths and results of online marketing initiatives to provide data driven business intelligence


Ability to fully comprehend and work within business constraints and strategies unique to each assignment
Strong conceptual thinking and ideation skills; passion for brainstorming ideas, sketching concepts and connecting pieces to solve real consumer problems
Ability to internalize customer insights, champion the customer and empathize with the customer’s needs and point of view throughout the project
Natural curiosity and passion for challenging assumptions made by business owners about their customers and a strong belief that there has to be a better way
An approach to innovation from the perspective of Customer Champion, not as the personal owner of the wireframes or the user experience


Experience with Google Analytics, a requirement
Experience with Web Analytics packages, preferred (Omniture Site Catalyst, Coremetrics, and Webtrends)
Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication skills
Strong statistical knowledge preferred
Ability to interact with technical teams, marketing teams, project managers, and clients
Ability to work effectively on multiple priorities with strict deliverable dates
Experience presenting data graphically for a non-technical audience
Understanding of data modeling concepts
Ability to merge data from a multiple sources and formats into data acceptable for analysis
Bachelors degree or higher in Statistics, General Business, Marketing or a related field
Ability to construct ad-hoc queries using web analytics tools.
Basic knowledge eMarketing activities such as SEM/SEO, remarketing/retention, targeted display, affiliates, etc.
Strong Excel skills.
High attention to detail and quality of work.
SQL and database knowledge a plus.
Ability to work with only moderate guidance on standard reporting and analysis (after ramping up).
High energy and looking to learn and help make improvements and change.
Ability to work under tight timelines and quick turnarounds.
Passion for data.
Strong analytical skills that include root cause analysis.
