Web Analyst

Responsible for management of all data relating to conversions of various sites. Responsibilities include gathering reporting requirements, creation and distribution of reports, and providing business intelligence and recommendations.
Impacts strategic direction of all metrics and conversion data by leveraging analysis and presentations to influence business leaders. Produces and represents key information in decision making forums.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

• Recommends, prepares, monitors, and evaluates key conversion metrics and key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards by analyzing patterns, usage, and trends
• Collects, organizes and graphs KPI’s; reviews and interprets metrics and presents charts, graphs and recommendations to management
• Sets standards for conversion reports and actively works with other teams to ensure accuracy. Analyze dashboard variances to determine causes and make recommendations (and implement where appropriate).
• Complete understanding of vendor’s reporting systems/tools to generate standard and custom reporting
• Review weekly analysis reports and recommends on actionable business changes in order to improve ROI
• Participates in strategy development for overall optimization of conversions
• Research external web metrics trends and internet marketing best practices.
• Recommends strategies resulting from A/B testing analysis
• Collaborates with stakeholders and team members to ensure that solutions meet business needs and have functional implementation capabilities
• Presents/communicates to cross-functional team members, providing updates and strategies on business intelligence
• Guides team in best practices regarding methodology as well as implementation to support data backed decisions

Other Duties and Responsibilities
• Interfaces with other departments and actively works in concert with cross-company counterparts
• Runs miscellaneous ad-hoc reports as requested by management
Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills & presentation skills
• Execution oriented, self-starter who can prioritize projects and balance demands of multiple projects
• Proven track record in data management, analysis, business intelligence and reporting
• Outstanding team player and with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively when discussing issues with team members
• Solid technical aptitude and ability to problem solve in fast-paced environment
• Proficient in advanced analytical techniques; finance and accounting concepts; internet business models and processes and web metrics.
• Familiarity with internet marketing; interactive marketing concepts and strategies; web technology; relational database and data warehouse technologies; SQL; query tools; basic database design concepts.
Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, and Experience)
• Demonstrated experience with one of the following tools: NetInsite, Coremetrics or SiteCatalyst
• 4+ years of experience working with KPIs in a web/ecommerce/social media environment
• 4+ years experience preparing data analysis and reports and presenting to management
• Acute proficiency with broad range of analytics tools
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
