Web Analyst

The Web Analyst will be an expert in web traffic and revenue metrics, specifically with respect to forecasting and reporting on the aforementioned data points. The Analyst will also collaborate with key internal stakeholders to analyze the impact of product features/enhancements on traffic, revenue growth, and profitability.  

Qualifications
• Develop a strong understanding of traffic drivers and revenue streams. Apply this knowledge to accurately forecast revenue and provide trend and variance analyses on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis
• Passionate about deriving insights: love diving into data to help answer business questions, identify trends, and create analyses that provide added value to the organization   
• Understand and deliver comprehensive verbal and written explanations of performance metrics to all levels of internal customers – from product managers to executive management
• Monitor performance KPIs and recognize changes in trends for immediate action post site releases, external events, etc.
• Monitor long term impact of new product features released on site, and have previous experience in A/B Testing
• Act as a liaison between the Analytics team with Finance, Marketing, and Product teams, assisting with a range of operating issues
• Respond to ad hoc data requests from stakeholders

Skills 
• 2+ years experience in an analytical role 
• Experience in internet advertising, internet search, e-commerce, social or related field 
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field, with statistics course work (e.g. economics, statistics)
• Experience analyzing data and creating reports with spreadsheets. Expert in Excel; Tableau experience a plus
• Past experience with industry standard tools for tracking and capturing web data such as

Google Analytics
• Database query experience (SQL) preferred
• Driven, accountable, self-starter who thrives on challenges and is accustomed to a fast pace environment and usually involved in multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent attention to detail
