Web Marketing Communications Consultant

Our client is looking to hire a Web Marketing Communications Consultant for a 6+ month position. This individual will be responsible for writing and editing web content in support of a Medicare Advantage product and deploying that content on various Web sites.

JOB FOCUS:
The primary responsibility of this role is to write and edit web content. The content must be presented clearly and accurately and be in compliance with all government requirements, standards and guidelines. This position will work closely with a Medicare Advantage Communications Writer/Subject Matter Expert and the Web Development/Design group.

REQUIREMENTS:
1) Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or other communications related discipline
2) 5 years experience in communications related work, the majority Web-based
3) 3 years experience within the individual health insurance market, with preference for prior Medicare experience.
4) Demonstrated excellent writing, verbal communications, and editing skills. Strong proofreading skills.
5) Independent, self-starter, experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
6) Demonstrated ability to analyze issues and provide and implement solutions
7) Knowledge of Web based software-a basic understanding of HTML is ideal.
8) Proficiency in Word and Excel
9) Knowledge of SEO, as well as web and print design and layout
10) Outstanding project management and interpersonal skills. MUST be adept in collaborating with others, building relationships, and successfully managing projects with input and approval from a variety of individuals and departments.
