Visual UX Designer

Are you interested in helping launch one of our client's newest strategic initiatives? Their team is developing a new program focused on engaging and acquiring college student customers through direct collaboration with universities.

We're looking for a highly motivated person with proven user interface and visual design skills to create elegant, intuitive user experiences across multiple interfaces that provide a seamless customer experience for some of our client's most technology-savvy users.

The ideal candidate will be a big thinker, have a passion for the student customer base, be familiar with agile development methodologies, and thrive on rapid design and development cycles.

Day to Day:
• Analyze user interface problems and create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements
• Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, and usability findings
• Use business requirements and market research to assist in developing use cases, high-level requirements
• Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of new web and on-device software applications
• Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors
• Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications
• Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and company executives for review and feedback

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience working in-house with a Fortune 500 strongly desired.
• At least 4 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
• A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions across multiple interfaces and screen sizes
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
• Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
• Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
• Familiarity with the technical considerations needed when designing for the web and web based devices
• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
• Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Axure or other prototyping tools

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to prototype in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides
