Responsible for helping to design and plan open service design installations and season updates that meet brand standards for brand image, function,
merchandising and marketing strategies in Specialty-Multi Channels. The Open-Service model
(i.e. Sephora model) is a quickly growing retail channel in beauty and a key focus for the
brand. We are a highly collaborative team with acute attention to detail, and the desired candidate
would thrive in this type of position.
Work with Director of Visual Merchandising to design and produce customized
merchandising elements for specialty-multi environments. Ability to see a project
from start to finish is critical; all proposed designs must meet merchandising standards
set forth for each individual system.
Work closely with cross-functional partners (art directors, copywriters, mechanical artists,
and marketing partners) to ensure that displays are successfully executed across all
fronts. VM is the start and finishing point of every project at this brand; so vision, focus,
clarity of communication, and high technical abilities are crucial to the success of this
Solve merchandising challenges creatively while remaining on-brand. The desired
candidate has the ability to think of the next phase for the design or product. i.e. Today
the system component is a launch unit, next season, it will hold the same products which
are now basic business – how does the design accommodate this flexibility?
Ensure brand design standards are communicated and updated in all phases of the
development process from concept sketches, renderings, to final DTOs that are
submitted to development teams for final production. Input on cost reduction and value
engineering is desired.
2-3 years of visual merchandising experience in corporate or agency role. Beauty
BS or BA in Industrial Design, Architecture or Interior Design background optional for the

Software Requirements: Rhino, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Excel.
Previous experience in Specialty-Multi retailers; Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom Innovation.
Awareness of retailer processes, restrictions, and schedules.
Awareness of basic project management; ability to estimate how much time it will take to
complete a project in order to manage one’s own time and also to guide the Operations
team to ensure that accurate time is allotted per project.
Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment. Strong personal character with
ability to communicate directly and concisely in order to gather information and approvals
needed to achieve project goals.
Excellent organizational skills, quality execution, and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative
