Visual Merchandising Manager

The Manager, Visual Merchandising position is responsible for partnering with the Merchant, Store Development, Product Development, and Creative Services teams to create compelling store presentations in order to maximize sales, brand synergy and to drive brand growth. This position is accountable for Visual Merchandising and Capital fixture budgets. This position manages development and execution of merchandising display strategies, retail collateral, and window concepts.


* Develop and execute merchandising strategies to ensure that all product categories are given maximum opportunity to sell and maintain high margins through proper floor placement, signage, window and fixture support.
* Hands on merchandising with store team members for all in-store elements including windows and feature stories.
* Assist in all visual packet production including photography, computer execution of all floor plans, and final review of all visual materials sent to the field.
* Manage all weekly presentation updates & e-mails to the field.
* Maintain accurate merchandise records to communicate on a regular basis to inventory partners.
* Creative brainstorming to collaborate on new window and in-store merchandising designs with fellow creative partners.
* Strategize perimeter and feature placement for new and existing merchandise with merchant partners.
* Develop new and unique elements for our stores including fixtures, props, and elements to enhance in-store experiences.
* Produce creative material in a deadline driven environment on time and within a budget.
* Work with the team merchandising all special events, manager's conference, and merchant presentations.
* Ensure one singular brand is conveyed through product message, window presentation, in-store collateral, and all components produced from the Visual department, setting a high singular brand point of view. Partner with the creative teams in Internet & Catalog to ensure brand synergy.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with merchant, store, and creative services teams that yield teamwork, high productivity, and cost effective results.
* Budget management - Overseeing and ensuring all funds allocated to the Visual Merchandising department are maximized. This includes:

* Yield the best product for the best price. Ensuring vendors we partner with have been selected through bidding processes and meet all budget expectations.
* Ensuring floor set directions achieve company expectations of sales plan margin percent and turn.



Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)

* Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products and/or Microsoft Visio for signage and planogram development.
* Strong planning and organizational skills - ability to organize, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
* Understand how to maximize project ROI through effective time management and cost controls.
* High levels of organization and independent thinking, and ability to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced team environment.
* Demonstrates excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills


3 years minimum Corporate and Field Visual Experience
