VISUAL DESIGNER // SEATTLE, WA

The Visual Designer is responsible for applying his/her conceptual skills, industry experience and imagination to bring innovation and creative excellence to design solutions. This position requires a solid graphic design foundation (including typography, iconography, layout, graphic illustration, data visualization and design theme building), interactive and/or motion design skills, and experience working alongside Interaction and Industrial Designers to produce final concept designs and engaging presentations. In addition, this role demands experience in design consulting, design research and commercial awareness.

Who We’re Looking For

You are a collaborative, passionate and detail-oriented designer with a strong aesthetic and a keen strategic mind. You will bring compelling image, typographic, color, pattern and motion solutions to the system design and wireframe flows. On any given day, you may find yourself creating visual design concepts (via visual palettes, mood boards, visual mock-ups, screen designs, brand identity explorations) of the highest quality and precision or developing scenarios and storyboards to communicate design concepts to team members and clients.

To thrive in this position, you’ll need to take a strategic approach to design problems and be able to analyze and synthesize complex design challenges. In addition to a deep understanding of the design process—including divergent (brainstorming), convergent (concept-selection), and detail-design phases—you’ll need top-notch communication and collaboration skills, which you’ll put to frequent use while working with clients and colleagues.
