General Responsibilities: Consistently develop multiple solution options and articulating the purpose and reasons for decision(s) Partner with principal designers, user experience leads, and front-end engineers to activate creativity and innovation and execute design standards within a productDrive visual design and associated technology standards and processes within a product experience and influences strategic direction Partner with principal designers, user experience leads, and front-end engineers to execute and influence best practices and standards in design and UX processes Work collaboratively with multiple agile product teams made up of product managers, engineers, and fellow UXers to deliver world-class product experiences through iterative releases Make tradeoffs between business goals and priorities and customer needs Create beautiful designs by leveraging advanced knowledge of typography, layout and composition, color theory, grid systems and use of photography Define timing and aesthetics of interaction states and transitions design with fluid grid systems and front-end frameworks.

Our client is looking for a full-time mid-level Visual designer who is passionate about great design and its ability to influence how both businesses and consumers think about travel. You strive for design perfection, but also love to release and iterate. You develop big ideas, and execute flawlessly against them. Your designs are engaging, innovative, follow usability best practices and reinforce the visual brand. You’ll be part of the User Experience team and mainly support the product team in many different capacities—from initial brainstorming and conception through production for our consumers as well as our business partners. You’ll also work with Marketing on emails and banners, and may even jump in on internal projects like posters, t-shirts, tradeshow graphics and Powerpoint presentations. You’ll have the chance to directly contribute creative ideas and to grow as a designer.
Core Responsibilities:
• Translate consumer needs, business requirements and interaction design/wireframes into user interfaces that are visually engaging, simple and intuitive
• Convey design ideas in tangible forms like concepts, prototypes, annotated comps and cut assets
• Ensure the consistent visual presentation of company products
• Work closely with the Visual Design Manager as well as other UX team members (interaction designers and copywriters) to execute on group and site strategy and vision

Requirements:
• Supreme attention to detail; a demonstrated understanding of typography, color, and layout
• 3 - 5 years of graphic design experience with a design firm or as part of an in-house design department
• Digital design experience: websites, email marketing, banner ads
• Strong organizational and time management skills; including handling multiple projects simultaneously; meeting tight deadlines; and reacting quickly and smoothly to changes
• Expertise with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint, and working knowledge of HTML and CSS. Experience with responsive design a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
