Our client’s User Experience team is seeking an experienced Visual Designer for a long-term contract opportunity in their Boston office. The Designer creates concepts to detailed design specifications for the company’s online products and services offerings that are consistent with brand standards and user centered design principles, presenting the creative concepts, and delivering quality work that contributes to a world-class customer experience.



Must have a keen eye for color, layout, shape and detail, a passion for systematic design, as well as meticulous attention to detail when applying patterns and standards. The role requires the ability to collaborate with interaction designers on designs for wireframes and to take wireframes from black and white simplicity and deliver detail-rich, yet clean and simple interfaces with a consistent user experience.



Must have skills: - Online portfolio required. - Minimum 5 years creative or design experience; web application or other digital design experience - Bachelor's Degree in User Interface Design (Human Computer Interface, Fine Arts, or Technology) - Ability to scope work for projects and collaborate with a team of Interaction Designers, Content Editors and Usability Engineers to understand deliverables - Must be able to understand and interpret existing site design and style guides, and create effective solutions, as well as assist in testing around compliance with guidelines - Working knowledge of web-related technologies including HTML, CSS XML, JavaScript, and Flash - Mastery of design tools including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Fireworks, DreamWeaver, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator and Visio) - Experience with complex financial services and product offerings, especially in eChannels brokerage (web, mobile) - Excellent problem-solving, project management and presentation skills - Strong conceptual design/development (prototype), collaborative, and organizational skills - Strong communications skills and ability to present work to clients and executives - Motivation for continuous improvement and ability to motivate others - Resilience under pressure and flexibility in potential conflict situations.
