Visual Designer

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Visual Designer to join us on our mission to reinvent entertainment led from the living room, powered by the cloud and experienced across multiple screens.

You will work under the direction of the Art Director with a small team of designers & strategists that plan and innovate for covering the scope of console games, music, video and more.

You are a strong, collaborative designer who wears many hats, thinks conceptually and strategically about design and is passionate about entertainment/software/hardware/services.

You are also not afraid to dive into design and presentation tools. You have experience in designing thoughtful communication for high level strategy presentations and evangelizing work across various initiatives. You have demonstrated ability to effectively partner with product planners and managers, program managers and executive staff.

You are a great creator, collaborator and communicator.


Primary responsibilities include:
Collaborate with Art Director and the Design team to drive a world-class web experience
Design and implement a consistent creative platform across our initiatives to ensure messaging and visuals are clear, concise, smart and visually compelling
Assist Art Director in communicating, documenting, and representing design direction to team members, senior management and key stakeholders
Evangelize thoughtful design within the team initiatives and ensure all competencies are part of the planning process – UX, Visual, Copy, Motion, Storyboarding, Information Design
Ensure that the vision stories and communication documents are holistic in approach and meets our customer needs, technical, marketing and business requirements

Qualifications include:
5+ years’ experience in communication design with an emphasis on web and its related approaches and technologies
Must be proficient in design fundamentals, including use of a modular grid, typography, color, contrast, scale and hierarchy
Familiarity and practice with classic swiss/modernist design principles as they are core to design language
Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills
Have excellent problem solving skills, and exercise the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
Demonstrate ability to work confidently with Art Director, Program Management, Development, Product Planning, Brand, Marketing and Executives
Proficiency with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
