-Team is laid back, informal, but aggressive when it comes to building software.

Job Overview:

Our client is looking for a passionate visual designer to be part of a small yet influential team working on the next generation of rich interactive user experiences.

You will play a pivotal role in defining our products user experience, look, feel, brand identity and style. The Visual Designer will work with a cross-functional team including the Vision team (business analyst), UX Design, and Engineering to create and evolve the On Center suite of construction takeoff and estimating tools. This position requires a laser-like customer focus, a passion for simple, well executed design and a solid understanding of desktop, online, and mobile user experience.

If you are a self-motivated and detail-oriented designer with a passion for implementing modern experiences, we are very interested in learning about your skills and how they might augment our team. This is a great opportunity to join the project early and contribute to the design of an exciting new product.

You will be responsible for:

• the look and feel exploration, conceptual and visual development.
• setting the visual design direction of our flagship products.
• creating high fidelity wireframes, engaging mockups, detailed style guides, and production ready assets.
• working closely with the Vision team (Business Analyst) to set our products visual design direction.
• working closely with the UX designer to transform low fidelity wireframes into sexy, high fidelity mockups.
• working closely with the development team to deliver high quality, production ready, optimized graphics for our product line.

You should be good at:

• accepting and acting on feedback and design direction.
• solving problems creatively – both design problems and daily workday issues.

You should have:

• five (5) years of experience designing desktop and/or web applications.
• strong experience with visual design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks.
• strong experience with design fundamentals including composition, color theory, typography, concept development and motion design.
• a strong eye for details.
• the willingness to work extended hours to meet deadlines when required.
• excellent verbal and written communication skills.
