Visual Designer

The Visual Designer will lead end-to-end ownership of our client's brand and the implementation of the brand across all marketing vehicles: from print to digital. You will spend most of your time on asset production related activities i.e. building email templates, web pages (core and landing pages), whitepapers and other document layouts, presentations, social outlet graphics, and more. You will spend the rest of your time working on brand guidelines that shape the feel and tone of our brand. In essence, it is through the development of their assets and website that will build out the brand over time. This position will not be responsible for the product design or interface. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Production of all marketing web-based assets, and full responsibility for the company website, including page layout and design, landing pages, digital ebooks and interactive content
  • Production of market-facing assets, including but not limited to whitepapers, research documents, datasheets, infographics, etc.
  • Production of all campaign-based assets, including but not limited to social graphics, and materials in support of tradeshows
  • Production of all customer-facing assets, including presentations and customer-specific requirements
  • Development of brand guidelines, including use of colour, fonts, and graphics
  • Engaging with members of the entire team to bring life to marketing strategy
  • Leading all projects with human-centered design principles

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in graphic design, visual design, web design, or other related field
  • At least two years experience as a graphic designer, in both print and digital formats
  • Intermediate or expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite, in particular Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Intermediate or expert knowledge of the Wordpress website hosting platform
  • Basic HTML
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite, including PowerPoint and Word, and the Google platform
  • A portfolio that supports many asset types, from web pages, to custom graphics, to print
  • B2B experiences are preferred, especially in the technology or supply chain sectors
  • Agility of work style and juggling priorities: this is a startup environment
  • Ability to work and act independently, be proactive
