Visual Designer

In this assignment, you will work with a team of designers, engineers, researchers, and a program manager focused on building out and evolving the client's Enterprise Design System.
We are looking for a Visual Designer to create beautiful, thoughtful, pixel-perfect visuals, UI components, specs, documentation and support the team in establishing a holistic/unified visual design system that works across the client's Suite of products.

Responsibilities:
As a Visual Designer you will design, document, and evolve client’s Enterprise Design System.
Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional product development team to present ideas and designs, partnering with engineering to implement, writers and editors to author and revise content, and researchers to validate design decisions.
Collaborate across teams to diplomatically present and advocate for the design system. Integrate feedback from product teams where appropriate.
Componentize UI elements to be shared in the form of sticker sheets and templates.

Minimum Qualifications:
Proficient with industry standard design tools (e.g. Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Demonstrated knowledge of design principles and practices (e.g. layout, color theory, typography).
Minimum BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. graphic, interactive, visual communications, product), or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience primarily focused on visual design for digital (e.g. product design, interactive design, marketing and advertising, branding).
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary UX and/or product teams (motion, interaction, UX research, engineering, UX writer).
Experience implementing visual design systems across a range of platforms.
Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing across platforms: including Android, iOS, web and touchscreen.
Strong attention to detail in all aspects of production and design.
Ability to to clearly communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process.
You are able to internalize feedback into actionable next steps in the design process.
Must be self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Material Design
Experience designing products and/or design systems.
Ability to author effective written and visual guidelines for an audience of developers and designers with varying levels of design experience.
Experience creating and/or working with design flows and user journeys.
Experience with UX and design research and visual audits.
Basic familiarity with HTML and CSS.
