Position Summary:
The Designer executes the creative vision of a project via the creation of user interface renderings and specifications. The Designer directly collaborates with Experience Researchers, Design Technologists, and other UI Designers on the project team. The Designer is responsible for the consistent production of high-quality, innovative design solutions.

Primary Job Responsibilities: T

The Designer is responsible for the production and delivery of creative design deliverables. Visual Designers help share in breathing the soul into our interface designs for users to enjoy and our customers to be proud of. Visual Designers are responsible for creating the right visual affordances to trigger the expected user interactions as well as create a unique, innovative, and sophisticated visual identity to the interface design. Visual Designers at this level need a great deal of attention to detail and ability to maintain focus through all aspects of visual production. Candidates should possess confidence with typography, color theory, iconography, aesthetics, and application of brand attributes.

Secondary Job Responsibilities:
The UI Designer has several other secondary responsibilities to support their teams and the company as a whole, including:

Support our client sales staff with new business development:

  • Identify base design requirements and activities through early conversations with potential clients
  • Create and refine various business development materials to reflect the company

  • Qualifications and Requirements:
  • At least 2 years professional experience with interaction/visual design for software user interfaces
  • General understanding of user research techniques and their value in the design process
  • Abreast of UI design best practices, trends and techniques
  • Proficient with design tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Basic understanding of technical platforms and terms (i.e. HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, Java, .NET, XAML/WPF, Flex etc.)
  • Positive attitude, proactive and helpful
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Education: Bachelor and/or Master Degree in a Relevant Field of Study (i.e. Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Graphic Design, New Media, Engineering, Liberal Arts, etc.)
