Our Fortune 1000 client is looking for an amazing Visual Designer that understands the needs of a rapidly growing, highly successful ecommerce travel business. You’ll be involved in helping to shape and maintain the visual language to over 85 sites in 60 countries.

As a Visual Designer you will report directly to the Design Manager in London (UK). You’ll be based in our Dallas (US) office supporting the North American Product, CRM, Brand and Marketing design initiatives.

Your experimental and experiential knowledge of all things digital will not just help you create designs, but use design to engage users in a complete brand experience. You’ll need a good grasp of responsive layout techniques to ensure your creativity adapts and responds for desktop, mobile and html email customer communications.

You’ll be part of the global User Experience team based in London (UK). We’re a holistic, multidisciplinary team with expertise in Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Prototyping, User Research, User Testing and Copy Writing. Key role responsibilities

o Create and execute engaging creative for a multi channel customer experience, designing for desktop, mobile and email
o Provide design support to other digital channels as and when needed
o Translate business objectives, user needs and wireframe designs into emotionally engaging visual experiences
o Contribute to project objectives and represent our customers in discussions with business stakeholders
o Continuously improve the user interface using customer insight with the aim of increasing customer reach, conversion and brand loyalty
o Contribute to advancing the team’s design methodology, focusing on quality, customer-centric design along with client-side performance and efficiency
o Track and report status and risks to project stakeholders and proactively escalate issues when appropriate.

Desired experience and qualities

o 3 – 5 years demonstrable design experience in ecommerce / CRM roles
o Impeccable eye for design aesthetics and a great attention to detail
o Understanding of fundamental design principles: typography, composition, hierarchy, and color
o Maintain stringent visual design standards
o Understand the intricacies of visual design and front-end development
o Familiarity of data-driven and dynamically generated user experiences
o Embraces creativity, innovation and provide new ideas
o Ability to accept and implement feedback and drive designs to sign-off
o Proactively work with minimal management on multiple projects simultaneously
o Sense of humor, while not required, is highly desired

Skills, qualifications and expertise

o Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Axure (or similar wire framing)
o Experience of responsive email design for desktop, tablet and mobile deployment
o Transactional and high traffic ecommerce desktop, mobile and email design experience preferred
o HTML and CSS skills a plus. Must have working knowledge
o Cross-disciplined candidates (interaction design, research, visual design, html mark-up etc) will be given higher consideration
