Art Director/Visual Design- Print & Digital

Our large financial services client located in downtown Boston is looking for a Visual Designer for a long-term contract position. The ideal candidate will be a mid to high level in experience and has a proven portfolio of work highlighting their highest quality of digital design work and displaying the expertise that has gone into the project.

Strong understanding of graphic design, typography and digital standards and the experience to execute projects of all sizes, and complete them with resourcefulness and dedication are must have requirements.
Have the ability to think through how campaign elements work across various channels and media including web, print and social is extremely important.


The specific details of digital designer’s role do vary, but common activities include:

- Staying up to date with industry trends
- Forging and executing exciting digital ideas
- Generating ideas and selling them into clients and other members of the team
- Maintaining high standards and ensuring only the best work is released to the client
- Collaborating across the agency to drive up standards of digital creativity
- Attend meetings and briefings with clients and teammates

Skills required:
InDesign, Illustrator, Flash, Photoshop, HTML Coding, PHP, and CSS

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree preferred in design-related discipline
Strong portfolio with print and online design expertise.
5 + years industry experience, including client contact and vendor/developer interaction.
Candidates must be well-versed in user-centered design methods and techniques.
Proficiency in industry-standard design software including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Flash (Actionscripting) and knowledge of web design principles and technology, and design constraints on the web.
Strong experience with information design and usability.
Online marketing experience a must.
