Video Production Specialist

The ideal candidate’s primary responsibilities will be capturing and editing assigned video and still photographic activities in support of various products. Post production may require determination of concept, theme, and budget based on client interface. Determine appropriate utilization of advanced editing techniques. Editing projects will include product documentation, events, training, interviews, videos for presentations, music videos and moderately complex storytelling projects. Must have a detailed working knowledge of non-linear video editing equipment and working within a file based video environment. Experience with multiple types of high-definition video formats, including DSLRs and 4K. Required to have a general knowledge of camera applications, location lighting, and related audio equipment. Experience with live webcast video camera operation. Experience with either Nikon or Canon high megapixel professional still photographic equipment. Applicant will be required to stay abreast of emerging trends with cameras, editing software and hardware, including lighting and grip equipment. Domestic travel and overtime work is required.

Applicant must be skilled with various kinds of professional video and DSLR cameras, including Sony, Panasonic, and Canon. Experience with studio and location lighting and proper audio. Strong understanding of shot composition for video. Strong understanding of visual storytelling. Strong understanding of video editing software and creative desktop applications. Knowledge of still photography techniques using a variety of natural and artificial light sources.

Advanced editing with Adobe Premier and advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator). Working knowledge of XD-Cam HD, Canon DSLR, RED cameras, GoPros, and video drones. Experience working within a file based video environment. Working knowledge of DVD and Blu-ray authoring applications. Knowledge of data storage devices (memory cards, hard drives, etc.). Understanding of video and audio formats and associated Codecs technology. Effectively interprets needs and develops creative/technical solutions. Capable of balancing a project’s creative requirements with schedule, budget, and resource limitations.
