Video Editor/Production Manager

Company seeks Video Editor/Production Manager to assist in the management and execution of all aspects of video production. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as a primary video production contact throughout project/campaign, coordinating projects with internal staff and external freelancers and vendors.
• Develop schedules, budgets, assets, and manage overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverable dates are met.
• Identify outside vendors and freelancers needed, request bids, lead vendor selection process, negotiate vendor contracts, and monitor performance of vendors.
• Ability to plan, develop and execute all stages of video production which includes but is not limited to the following:
o Include graphics, narration, music and editing by combining script, visuals, graphics and music
o Create visual effects, motion effects, audio and graphics to help communicate concepts
o Combine sound, voiceover, and music
o Perform quality control of final production to ensure usability on destination devices and formats
o Convert videotape to digital media
o Perform encoding/duplication to meet web delivery requirements
o Publish video using current streaming and encoding technologies
• Assist with video shoots, managing contractors, overseeing on-site logistics and troubleshooting (in-house/external video production). Travel on-site and help with staging and equipment setup and breakdown, as necessary.
• Keep abreast of innovations in the field of video production and web-based media in order to evaluate and incorporate new technologies as appropriate.
