Video Editor/Content Specialist

The Video Content and Production Specialist will concept and create videos to be used within digital marketing campaigns, promotions and initiatives the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD). This role encompasses all types of video creation, from 7 seconds for Vine to complex cinematic experiences: how-to videos, customer and thought leadership videos, product promotion & demonstration videos, webinars, event video, and service and support videos. The Video Content and Production Specialist will work with marketing communications, product marketing, vertical marketing and regional marketing groups across the division to elevate our visual storytelling.

The video production coordinator will work closely with digital and marketing communications means to create a storyboard and guide script development, video recording, video editing, and video deployment. The video production coordinator will lead the creative process for all videos, ensuring best-of-class delivery.

The video production coordinator will work closely with Corporate Brand to ensure all videos are created with the proper brand voice and anthem. In addition, the Video Content and Production Specialist will recommend strategic direction to CMD leadership

The Video Content and Production Specialist will:
• Create, record, and edit all types of video for multiple touchpoints including web sites, events, social media, campaigns, new product introductions, and service & support. Includes post-production work.
• Plan, develop and coordinate implementation of rolling video production schedule.
• Produce videos including format design, editing, preparation of storyboards, lighting, sound dubbing, establishing audio levels, camera operation and creation of special overlay titles and effects.
• Develops and maintains workflow processes and standards for video deliverables.
• Collaborate with external vendors and process for any outsourced design work
• Collaborate with multiple groups and teams to conceptualize and design the scripts for the videos
• Use industry standard software to edit the video and audio to be used in multiple formats
• Work with content editors to understand the specific needs of CMD’s customers for each business unit and how to communicate with them visually.
• Stay current with technology and best-practices to provide strategic direction to senior leadership that outlines the continual evolution of video usage.
• Continually look for ways to improve the look, feel and design of our forward facing videos.
• Troubleshoot issues and communicate progress.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in video production, marketing, communication, or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in video production and creative video direction
• Mastery level knowledge of video, audio, lighting, and studio equipment
• Mastery level with green screen techniques
• Mastery level knowledge with non-linear editing systems
• Skilled in all aspects of and proficient in creating finished projects in Adobe Premiere or comparable video editing software
• Skilled in all aspects of and proficient in creating finished motion 2D motion graphics in Adobe After Effects CS5, including intro sequences, transitional animations, titles, lower thirds, and all support graphics
• Expertise in motion graphics, including visual effects, 3D modeling, graphic design, and animations highly desired
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
• Knowledge of Flash CS3 and Action Scripting
• High level of intensity and comfortable with change
• Strong prioritization and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently with minimal direction or guidance
• Demonstrated written and oral communicative skills; high comfort level with scientific topics desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including experience in establishing collaborative working relationships; intercultural skills and experience a plus, along with strong customer orientation.
• Ability to work effectively and influence others in a matrix environment including working within and among teams and the ability to influence others at all levels to keep project on-time and on budget.
• Up to 25% travel
• Must have portfolio available for review
