The role of the Video Editor develops and creates video assets in relation to the client's product family.
1. The editor needs fundamental design experience and familiarity with digital video/photography equipment and image and video manipulation software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and non-linear editing such as Final Cut, Avid, and Premiere as well as knowledge of video compression formats and tools such as Squeeze, QT Pro.
2.Responsibilities include digitizing, editing and finishing of videos, audio mixing, motion graphics, compression of video footage, post production (editing, animations and static graphics), menu interface creation and paths, duplication and storage.
3. Develops and communicates video guidelines and workflow throughout the studio, oversees quality control, and mentors Jr. Editors with their jobs.


• PEOPLE: Requirements include maintaining a professional style of communication, while providing analytical problem solving skills to a variety of user levels within various departments. Must have a high level of creativity, patience, organizational structure, strategic and analytical skills, and production experience.

Daily interactions include:
• The verbal communication of video guidelines and video projects supporting all their depts. Routine communication is necessary to coordinate and execute ongoing projects with project managers, maintain efficiencies during project executions, continue to develop and manage protocols in relation to all video deliverables, maintain objectives in sight, maintain a high level of creativity while interacting with internal studio production.

PROCESS: Daily responsibilities include the ability to interpret and understand studio and project objectives. The ability to help manage the day to day operations of the Video Studio while providing the highest level of support to the company.

TECHNICAL: High level of technical background necessary in order to support projects with a focus on creativity while providing solutions is imperative. Must have a hands-on attitude with a background in video production, editing, digital photo manipulation and marketing/advertising experience. Experience with video games, computers and home electronics is a plus. Analytical problem solving skills, strong organizational skills are required.

PLANNING/IMPLEMENTATION: Must have the ability to communicate with a variety of user levels verbally. Creates and executes video production projects based on direction from clients.
