As the Video Designer for Tech College, you will partner with the Lead Learning Experience Designer and Subject Matter Experts to design and develop highly engaging video and animation based learning experiences and solutions. You will support the storytelling design and serve as the lead videographer and editor for Tech College subject areas as they drive towards their goal of creating technology learning experiences that fuel our growth as a Tech company and help our associates develop cutting-edge skills.

As a Video Designer in Tech College you will use your technical and creative skills to design and produce video-based learning assets in partnership with Tech College engineers and learning experience designers. This will include pre-production, filming live videos, and using motion graphics and other animation techniques. You will also be responsible for post-production which includes editing videos to tell a story that depicts the cutting-edge learning occurring at Tech College.

Primary Responsibilities:

•Partner with the Lead Learning Experience Designer and Subject Matter Experts to create a script and storyboard for Tech College videos

•Film and record Tech College instructors and colleagues on location during live and scripted learning experiences (e.g., presentations, live simulations, hackathons, etc.) using a portable video shoot and voiceover setup

•Edit video and audio footage using professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, etc.) to drive a consistent tone and learner experience for Tech College associates and executives

•Create motion graphics and/or animations using professional graphic software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Camtasia, etc.) to augment live Tech College videos as needed

•Partner with the Lead Learning Experience Designer and Subject Matter Experts to identify new opportunities to implement video, audio and animation technologies into their learning solutions

•Assist in the setup and design of Tech College video studio

•Maintain regular communication about project milestones and expectations with the Lead Learning Experience Designer

Basic Qualifications:

•High School Diploma, GED, equivalent certification, or military experience

•At least 4 years of experience capturing basic video and audio footage

•At least 4 years of experience with video storytelling, editing, animation and motion design tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator and Camtasia)

Preferred Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s Degree

•5 years of experience capturing basic video and audio footage for instructional and learning purposes

•5 years of experience with video storytelling, editing, animation and motion design tools for instructional and learning purposes (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator and Camtasia)
