Vice President, Digital & Content Strategy

Our global PR client is looking for a VP, Digital & Content Strategy to join their NYC team.

Qualifications =

• Minimum 10 years of digital/social media content strategy experience, video production skills (shooting, producing, directing) are a plus
• Experience and expertise in writing, messaging and branding
• Excellent client service, relationship management and executive presentation skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented operational manager
• Creative mindset with strong knowledge of social web and content development
• Experience tracking, contributing to and leading media trends, integrated experience
• Strong leadership and talent management skills, experience successfully leading and developing a strong and growing department or division

Responsibilities =

Leadership =
• Contribute digital content expertise to the development of a holistic Digital strategy
• Serve as a creative content leader for clients and accounts across the North America network
• Propose, develop and deliver innovative digital content offerings
• Track industry trends to ensure completeness of digital content product and service suite
• Develop and maintain strong network of vendors, influencers, trend leaders and contacts to proactively support innovation and creative development

Content Development/Production =
• Be a creative storytelling champion for clients across the agency spectrum
• Conceptualize, scale, pre-produce, and oversee compelling digital content productions (i.e. social content, infographics, video and other forms of digital content
• Develop creative, strategically aligned content that capitalizes on emerging and up and coming trends and strategies
• Oversee coordination and integration of diverse vendors and creative resources (i.e., writers, video producers, graphic designers, etc.)
• Build content and channels on the web for clients that support their business and strategic objectives

Operations =
• Manage creative content creators (i.e. copywriters) as well as their work, revenue and expenses, maximizing employee billability
• Develop and manage production budgets to maximize efficiency
• Uphold product, service, and process quality standards to ensure output exceeds client expectations

Talent/Staffing =
• Grow the digital content strategy capability and oversee successful performance management, career development, coaching, and mentoring of multimedia employees
• Recruit, develop and retain top digital content talent
• Develop and maintain a strong network of hourly or freelance talent to proactively staff projects as needed

Business Development and Marketing =
• Engage and interact with clients and new business prospects, demonstrating exceptional client service and relationship management skills
• Ensure new business team is armed with the latest case studies and aware of the most current product/service offerings to support digital content strategy sales efforts
• Nurture relationships with account team leads, digital strategists, and prospective/current clients to identify multi-media/video synergies and scope potential sales opportunities
• Introduce innovative mechanisms to share market offerings internally and throughout the marketplace
