Working closely with the Social Media Program Manager, Blog Editor, Social Business Unit, Integrated Marketing team on behalf of the Motors & Electronic Business units, the Vertical Social Media Community Manager must be a strong & passionate advocate for the motors and electronics industry to take initiative to support the goals of the eBay Motors and Electronics teams across all aspects of social media from owned, earned and paid media standpoints.

Monitoring/Listening - Optimize targeted listening across multiple platforms using listening tools in accordance with eBay Motors/Electronics listening strategy.
• We are expecting that you will be regularly monitoring for brand mentions, relevant terms, and other specifics and coordinating with our social customer service team.
• Provide regular feedback to comments – continuing the conversation.
• Recommend next steps/direct fans to website for additional information.
• Trends and insights will be captured.

Platform Management – Manage and optimize owned vertical social media platforms (Blog, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Instagram, Pinterest, Reddit) in adherence to eBay Motors/Electronics platform strategy. In addition, coordinate planning for Vertical presence on eBay Core social media platforms (Blog, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram)
• Optimize Platforms for reach, engagement and integration into all aspects of eBay Motors and Electronics ecosystem.
• Manage brand and target attributes through examining branding & style guideline documents.
• Optimize audience development current targets – demographics and lifestyle.

Content Development – Create, curate, publish, manage, organize creative assets on social
channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Reddit) in accordance with brand standards and audience in adherence of eBay Motors / Electronics content strategy.

• Content Calendar
o Must be able to plan, organize and regularly maintain a calendar and ensure that it is always up to date and in line with brand, business and campaign initiatives.

• Copywriting
o Must have a strong background in copywriting in social media. See above.

• Graphic creation
o Must be able to create graphics on the fly in adherence to campaigns and other initiatives using Adobe Photoshop. Must also be able to know how to lead graphic direction on projects for agency partners as well.

• Photography
o Must be able to take photos, manipulate existing photography and lead on photo assets needed for social media.

• Videography
o Must be able to concept, shoot, edit and produce videos using in house Canon 5DMKIII HDSLR video equipment using Adobe Premiere Pro.

• Asset Management
o Must be able to properly manage all copy, photo, video and other assets and safeguard, archive and sync with monthly.

Engagement – Engage, respond to fans and users discussing topics directly and indirectly to relevant to eBay Motors and Electronics and industry discussions.
• Regular engagement with audiences on official social media platforms in 1:1 and 1:ALL fashion.
• Regular engagement on key eBay Motors Forums and Electronics discussion boards.
• Coordinate up and down with eBay CS team on issues and escalate when necessary.
• Must have strict policies on platform use and activity.
• Must be familiar with influencer outreach and management of relationships from an execution standpoint.

Reporting/Analytics – Create monthly reports on social media platform performance and ad-hoc reports on social media campaigns and events in alignment with internal formats and needs in sync with analytics team using platform analytics, Attensity and other tools.

Owned – Must be able to deliver reports for the following
Monthly - Reach, Engagement, Traffic, new users, etc.
Campaigns – Reach, Engagement, Traffic, new users, etc.
Earned – Must be capable of reporting out metrics off of owned channels
from influencers, media, news and other platforms.
Monthly – Volume of discussions, Share of Voice, Sentiment, Trends and competitive benchmarks.
Paid – When applicable, work with paid media team and agency to report on
performance of paid media efforts on owned channels.

Travel – There will be travel required perhaps once or twice each quarter to support big rock initiatives and event coverage such as SEMA, NAIAS, NYIAS, LAAS, CES, E3, Concorso Italiano, etc. including media/press events with OEMs and brand partners for Motors and Electronics.
