Vendor Manager/Analyst

Our client is looking help to manage key categories of of their online retail business. This is a fast-growing and dynamic business, with a high-powered, fun, & collegial work environment. The responsibilities of the role include growing sales, driving marketing, assisting in negotiations with vendor partners, maximizing selection, developing promotions and continuously improving customer experience. The successful candidate will be comfortable thinking strategically but also be able to manage every operational detail.

This ideal candidate should have problem solving skills, be action and results oriented, self-starting, analytical and data-oriented, and be comfortable with computer databases and tools. He or she must have a proven track record in taking ownership, driving results and moving with speed to implement ideas in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years in Retail, Finance or Product Management/Marketing
• Proficient in Excel and have technical aptitude to learn web-based tools
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects – to prioritize and plan under tight deadlines
• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
• Demonstrated quantitative and analytic skills
• Ability to integrate everyday tactics into a cohesive category strategy

Preferred Qualifications
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; strong writing and speaking skills
• Proven experience building new business relationships
• Proven negotiating skills, influencing abilities and some vendor management experience
• 2+ years managing external relationships
• MBA preferred
