The Item team at our client is looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, and creative individual to serve as a Vendor Manager who will be responsible for managing the process to onboard various vendor product catalogs onto the online site.
This position offers an exciting introduction to a Fortune 500 company and the opportunity to be a part of a fast growing ecommerce business and work in a very fast paced startup-like environment. The manager will work directly with multiple internal teams, vendors, partners and senior management. This position is responsible for growing the top and bottom lines of the product assortment, for building vendor relationships and reporting out progress to senior leadership. This role is an ideal next step for a leader with solid experience who is looking to develop into the next stage of his/her career path.
This candidate should have experience in planning, project management, cross functional relationship building, and a background in retail or e-commerce. The candidate should be adept at problem-solving and managing multiple priorities effectively and efficiently. Communication skills (both oral and written) are also key. They must be able to work in a highly demanding but collegial environment where teamwork is a must. The right candidate will be flexible, action and results oriented, and self-starting. They must also be decisive and able to move with speed to implement their own ideas.

The Manager will be responsible for the following:
• Building vendor relationships and training vendors on eCommerce processes
• Helping vendors with onboarding their catalogs onto clients ecommerce site
• Tracking and reporting progress to senior leadership on a regular basis.
• Finding ways to optimize and streamline various Item Setup processes to scale the vendor on-boarding.
Our environment is very fast-paced, and requires someone who is highly enthusiastic, flexible, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams and management.
Basic Qualifications
• 4-5 years of experience in online retailing/ecommerce
• Project Management Skills (PMO certification is a plus, but not necessary)
• Analytical and savvy with MS Excel
• Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering or Science

Preferred Qualifications
• Masters Degree
• 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation
• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• e-Commerce experience preferred
