Vendor Management + Excel skills = You?

Our client is looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, enthusiastic Vendor Manager (VM) to join our team in a temporary role. This role is an excellent opportunity to learn the buying function and eCommerce business from an experienced team.

The VM will leverage strong communication skill, project management skills and ownership in expanding our product selection that is offered to to our customers.

Daily responsibilities include:
Monitor selection for key competitors to ensure client has the optimal selection.
Demonstrate to vendors the value and services offered by having their assortment available
Communicate with multiple vendors on a daily basis to initiate the process for adding products.
Manage vendors through the process of adding selection to ensure products are on boarded correctly and that targeted selection gets added.
Troubleshoot problems around product receiving or compliance.
Will be contacting current Vendors and working with them to add additional products for our customers.
Will be required to work with internal business partners to manage new items through the process of setup and ensure all identified products are added.


Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Proficiency in data analysis using Excel
Candidate must be adept at problem-solving and managing multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
Self-motivated and highly goal oriented
Ability to think and react in a very high-energy, fast paced environment
Self Starter- Ability to receive direction and perform daily activities with limited oversight.
Ability to influence others, selling skills
Strong listening skills and the ability provide troubleshoot creative solutions.
Technical capability to use Excel

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in vendor relations and content management
SalesForce is a plus
