VP of Media

We are seeking a VP of Media for one of Austin's downtown clients. They create customized and effective digital marketing campaigns for some of the nation's most respected agencies and brands. We are seeking a VP of Media to oversee the management and fulfillment of premium & volume revenues for the display, video, and mobile advertising divisions. This individual will manage all aspects of the company’s online media strategic planning, and operations, including daily oversight of our display, video, mobile, search, and programmatic campaigns. This individual will also develop and maintain strategic relationships with current, prospecting and new advertisers and publishers.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with senior leadership to continue to build a world-class digital media organization
• Research and implement new solutions and revenue opportunities within the online media industry
• Drive revenues for all Media divisions, including local and national initiatives
• Achieve projected gross margin dollars, profits, daily and monthly GP margins
• Develop thorough reporting and analysis; present results to senior leadership
• Oversee the day-to-day media operation to optimize campaigns
• Work directly with Account Executives, advertisers and publishers to ensure effective, successful campaign management
• Recruit, train and manage LIN Digital’s Media team, including Media Buyers, Planners, Account Managers, and Operations Specialists
• Identify potential partners, definitions of the partnering structure, negotiation and execution
• Enter in new agreements, negotiations and traffic analysis to ensure appropriate levels of ROI for the advertiser and GP for the company
• Other duties/tasks as assigned by supervisor

Education/Experience
• BS/BA from an accredited four-year university or college; MBA a plus
• 7+ years’ experience in the digital advertising industry (top ad agency, premium publisher group or network a plus)
• 5+ years’ experience managing a multi-functional team
• Proactive self-starter with track record of scaling media businesses operationally and financially
• Strategist as well as an operator: able to manage projects from conception to completion
• Experience with large-scale premium brands and ad revenue-driven businesses
• Proven track record of delivering key digital initiatives on time and within budget
• Demonstrated strong understanding of digital media, programmatic media, and best practices
• Group leader who can delegate, develop and motivate a team to encourage a high level of ownership/accountability, quality of output and productivity
• Experience managing larger multi-disciplinary teams
• Clear thinker that understands how to use research and analytics to apply strategic planning, product road-mapping, content development
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
