This is a temp to perm opportunity in San Francisco for the VP of Digital Design. You'll be responsible for customer experience design across all digital platforms. The Vice President will ensure designs are easy to use, emotionally engaging, brand relevant and help grow the audience and the company’s competitive position in the marketplace.

This role will be best suited in to an individual who is entrepreneurial, who wants to push consumer engagement, lives for challenge, is resourceful and who can lead teams in an Agile development environment. This role manages a team of fifteen interaction designers, art directors and designers, and reports to the Sr Vice President of Product.

Basic Responsibilities
Actively lead interaction design and creative studio teams to create world-class, beautifully designed digital products and services. Ensure coherence of services and brand expression across all digital platforms.
Other responsibilities include:
• Establish and enforce standards for all digital brand expression including visual design, typography, photography and voice.
• Operate a center of excellence and effective practices to gain customer insights that inform new experiences and validate the value, design, and usability of customer experiences.
• Provide direction and input into the formulation of the product strategies.
• Invent and explore potential strategies that can deepen or extend the brand.
• Interact with major decision makers to convince and influence business decisions.
• Build and enhance important high-level internal and external relationships.
• Obtain and allocate resources to achieve strategic and operating goals, negotiating as needed for significant resources.
• Manage the operational efficiency of the creative capability, including reporting on cost, productivity, throughput and other relevant metrics.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in a design-related discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience designing digital or multi-channel customer experiences.
• Strong experience defining and leading brand expression.
• Strong understanding of human computer interaction and track record of leading user-centered design activities.
• Experience leading design activities in an AGILE environment.
