User Research Assistant

As a Research Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to support research activities in developing innovative, user-friendly, best-of-breed products. We are looking for individuals who have excellent communication skills, are diligent, detail-oriented, and can work fairly independently.

Top 3 daily Responsibilities:
1. User testing preparation activities (ex. recruiting participants or other special user types for user research studies, lab setup, study planning, etc.)
2. Running usability testing sessions.
3. Conducting literature reviews

Additional Responsibilities:
* Administering questionnaires, surveys, and interviews.
* Analyzing and interpreting both qualitative and basic quantitative data.
* Creating findings and recommendation reports from user studies.
* Creating highlight videos/screenshots.

Requirements:
- M.A./M.S./Ph.D (in progress or completed) in Technical Communication, Cognitive Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, human factors engineering, or other field emphasizing human behavior
- 2-3 years of experience in a User Experience Research Assistant position
- Interest in general research and/or user research methods on products
- Excellent observation and note-taking skills
- Detailed oriented and ability to work independently on a variety of tasks
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Can work independently and prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible by adapting to changing schedules and different projects
- Technical aptitude, familiarity with basic graphic and video editing tools preferred
