Our client is looking for a Visual/UI Designer to assist the Product & Content Creative Services Design team as we build our next generation product platform based on established interaction patterns and visual guidelines. The person in this position will be responsible for creating high-fidelity visual prototypes of select product screens based on best UI/UX design practices and providing detailed design specs for the development team.

Principle Accountabilities:
• Partner with the Product Management, Business Analysts and Development teams on the redesign of select content sets as they are transitioned onto the new Web product platform including: visualization of big data, usability, and user interface design.
• Create visual prototypes, provide design specs, and design QA.
• Develop a full knowledge of the new Design Language System (DLS) and brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Creative Services and the Ratings’ Editorial teams as we produce a weekly financial services trade magazine, including laying out the “Spotlight” section when necessary.

Qualifications:
• College degree in design, Web design, graphics or related field.
• 4-8 years of Web and graphic design experience (financial services or B-to-B experience a plus).
• Strong Web design experience and knowledge, including the principles of usability and UI/UX (strong Print design experience a plus).
• Fluency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and QuarkXpress.
• A working knowledge of HTML/HTML5, CSS and responsive design as well as the limitations of the Web.
• Strong communication skills.
• Deadline-oriented and able to work quickly and juggle multiple projects.
• Portfolio of work should include: Web design, marketing material, and editorial layout. Need to see online portfolio or have samples sent electronically before interview.
