User Interface Front End Developer

Are you passionate about modern front-end development? Our financial client, who is known for their “state of the art technology”, is creating a new Trading App which is destined to be the #1 Platform for structured Products Trading where the customer can trade structured products, watch educational videos, and view up to the minute financial metrics. To make this milestone happen, they are looking for talented contract2hire User Interface Front End Developer who is passionate about entrepreneurship in FinTech space to help shape the largest structured investments platform in existence today. This opportunity is 40 hours a week, onsite, NYC, contract2hire (after approx. 6 months freelance), health care benefits and sick-pay provided.

What You Will Do:

  • In this role, you will use modern build tooling like Webpack 2 and Gulp to quickly iterate on valuable features and use libraries like React, Redux, and Backbone to build flexible, reusable components
  • Optimize front end performance by leveraging web workers and other modern web technologies; write beautiful code that adheres to client standards
  • Collaborate with quant engineers to make state of the art pricing and analytics electronically accessible on the platform
  • Collaborate with sales and trading on the daily basis to push the FinTech strategy
     

What You Need:

  • Self-started who can jump in on Day 1 to make an impact; proven User Interface Development/Front End Development experience with a strong portfolio
  • Experience with Javascript frameworks like React, Redux would be great; Backbone HTML, CSS
  • Experience building UI for large scale applications
  • You're comfortable comparing TypeScript to Flow and can tell us why you prefer one over the other
  • All industry backgrounds welcome; strong interest in learning about financial products
