User Experience Researcher - Virtual Reality

One of the top brands in Virtual Reality are looking for a freelance mid-weight UX Researcher to join them in their team in the London office for 3 months initially (with the likelihood to roll on for longer) starting in January 2017.

Candidates must be passionate about next generation technologies and any commercial experience working in Virtual Reality specifically or HCI research would be ideal!

As a experience Researcher here, you'll explore and define the the future of interfaces in virtual reality. You will help them enhance the user experience and investigate the ‘why’ in order to learn more about our users and how they interact in applications that can take people out of this world. You’ll collaborate with world class talent to define, design, and deploy new interface.
On a day-to-day basis, you will conduct usability studies, conduct focus groups, 1-2-1 interviews/ workshops, work with quantitative and qualitative data, coordinate international research projects, communicate with stakeholders and draft research reports. Any interview coding knowledge would be a huge bonus but not essential.
The research team is a team of 3/4 so they are looking for a capable and knowledgable addition who can take on tasks independently as well as in a team.

Skills & experience:
- PhD or MA in interaction design, HCI, communications or in a related field, and 2+ years of relevant research experience
- A passion for design and VR
- A strong publication record
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills
- Excellent command of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods
- Thrives in fast-paced research environments
