User Experience Manager, Ecommerce UI/UX

We are seeking a talented User Experience Manager Ecommerce UI/UX to join our team. As we continue our transition quickly expanding our digital/ecommerce retail team and capabilities. The User Experience Manager Ecommerce UI/UX will be a critical member of the team, and should be a subject matter expert for best practices in visual design and navigation. This leader must ensure all of our digital platforms improve our customers’ experience, increase their shopping confidence, support our brand, and deliver growth in omni-channel sales conversion, while always raising the level of customer satisfaction. In addition to the day to day management of development projects and design optimization testing, the role will identify and address future UI/UX functional development and enhancements, by leading the user experience and requirements gathering. The formula for success of this role will hinge on the ability of the candidate to use data to drive decision making, successful collaboration with multiple stakeholders, a test and learn mentality, and the ability to alter direction quickly if need be.

Essential Functions:
• Information architecture development and change management
• User research, testing and design optimization strategy
• Visual design, from initial development to ongoing support
• Information design / content management
• Interaction design

TOOLS/MUST HAVES:

xYou should have:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or graphic design
• MBA or other advanced certification preferred (CUA/CXA, Nielsen Norman Group Certification)
• Compelling portfolio

Experience is important. To set you apart:
• 7+ years of experience in user experience/visual design for multiple platforms (website, tablet, mobile, in-store kiosk) ideally with a B2C multi-channel, omni-channel retailer
• Experience managing third party agencies and development partners
• Web and App development project management familiarity
• Retail or consumer design experience preferred
• Traditional design experience a plus

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to navigate through ambiguity and break down complex problems into simplified and manageable parts

• Flexible and positive attitude; proven experience partnering with technology and web development teams, marketing and advertising groups, store operations teams and merchandising
• Design and optimization testing expertise, rooted in the use of customer insights and performance analytics to drive decision making
• Ability to gain confidence quickly, lead direct reports and influence without authority, large groups of stakeholders
• A collaborative leadership style with a player and coach mindset… not afraid to dig into the work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective communicator to all levels of management
• Performance driven, and analytically curious
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple strategies all at once while meeting deadlines
• Ability to adapt plans and react to change
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Strong problem identification and solving skills
• Superb time management skills
