User Experience Manager

One of our Fortune 500 clients is in need of a proven User Experience (UX) Manager that doesn’t mind being hands-on in their enterprise User Experience team. Up to Up to 25% Travel is a possibility. This is a W2 position in downtown Atlanta.

As UX Manager, you'll be leading a team of UX designers and researchers, acting as lead UX designer, and working with other designers, strategists, business teams, developers and leadership to create engaging, innovative applications and experiences for web, mobile and tablet.

Working across teams and groups to develop complex digital products will require innovative thinking, a highly collaborative nature, excellent communication skills, and the ability to challenge the status quo while driving towards business and user goals.

The ideal candidate has a great blend of UCD expertise, creative design, user research and leadership experience along with a passion for creating incredible experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Lead a team of UX Designers and User Researchers and actively coordinate and participate in design and research activities across multiple products and services
* Assess UX capacity and capability and align with ongoing business needs
* Manage and allocate budgets and resources to effectively meet the needs of projects
* Establish UX measures and goals aimed at driving success
* Manage tools and external vendor interactions as needed
* Oversee and develop information architectures, storyboards, visual design comps, prototypes and user testing regiments
* Perform in a cross-functional team capacity within a highly matrixed organization leading UX projects from concept to deployment
* Directly manage a team of designers and researchers within the context of a larger/global UX team integrating UCD best practices and UX processes into an Agile SDLC
* Keep abreast of industry movement, developments and new technologies
* Propose, create and present designs and/or UX concepts to stakeholders and executive management
* Partner with Client Groups to maintain roadmaps and related work assignments that are broken down into projects and deliverables
* Facilitate impact analysis and level of effort estimations for project deliverables across functional disciplines.
* Create and maintain UX team project schedules and budgets tracking and reporting to stakeholders and senior leadership
* Produce and maintain artifacts such as: Impact Assessments, Level of Effort Assessments, Design Specifications, Prototypes, Project Charters, Project Plans, project Burn Downs, Project Back Logs, User Stories, Budget Plans, Performance Plans, Skill-set & Competency matrices

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Proven experience driving distributed, matrixed teams to positive outcomes while delivering with quality on time and on budget.

Deep understanding and experience with various software development lifecycle methodologies with emphasis on Agile software methodology using SCRUM techniques.

Experience in applications and systems architecture, and processes pertaining to every phase of software product development and deployment.

Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills. Preference for project and user experience management in an Enterprise Application or Agency environment.
